The Jetson's Orbit City would be cool.
Well, our fair city has basically shut down again after yesterday's snowfall. With an inch or so, it seems that no one wants to venture out. At the least, people are using it as the best excuse to stay home from work (myself included).
Yesterday I made the trek to the Nike campus to finish a project that needed to be completed for a meeting this morning. Likely the meeting has since been canceled, but I had to show up nonetheless. Ah, the life of a freelancer...
Only took 3 hours to get there by train (as opposed to the usual hour). Funny how things around here get so jammed up so easily.
Nike Inc. shut down at 2pm yesterday, but I had the pleasure of working until 10pm. Luckily, my producer stuck it out with me and gave me a lift home via 4wd truck.
So now, I sit inside the house enjoying the beauty outdoors. Dogs by my side, jazz on the radio.
I love snow days.
How many bones have you broken? Yours or someone else's?
Just 1 - my collarbone when I was 4 and my dad pushed the merry-go-round too fast, flinging me to the earth.
